Leo P. Theisen Services Thursday
Leo P. Theisen died Sunday, February 13 at 12:30 a.m. following a lingering illness. He was born February 25, 1895 in Cold Spring, the son of the deceased Mary and Peter J. Theisen.
Mr. Theisen spent his youth in Cold Spring and as a young man attended the University School of Agriculture. He was a veteran, having served overseas in W.W. I. On February 4, 1920, he was married to Augusta Grundhaefer in St. Paul. He went to work as a contractor at Marystown and later switched to the grocery and meat and trucking business. In 1927 he moved to Cold Spring where he acrried [sic] on his business activities. For several years he also served as County Field Supervisor.
Surviving besides his wife are the following sons and daughters: Mrs. Marc Oster (Rosella), Mrs. Jerry Twit (Lillian), Lorraine, Wallace, Leonette, all of Cold Spring: LeRoy, Schenectady, New York; Mrs. Jerry Monnens (Angela), Richmond, and Harold of Minneapolis. He also leaves the following brothers and sisters: Peter, Kimball; Mrs. Theresa Baringer, Hunter, ND.; Mrs. John Hoppe, Missoula, Montana; Math, The Dells, Wis.; Joseph, Rockville; Henry, Cold Spring; and Mrs. Lawrence Hennen, Shakopee.
Mr. Theisen was a member of the American Legion, V.F.W., Last Man's Club and the St. Joseph Society. The body is at the Wenner Funeral Home until the time of the services which will be held Thursday morning at 9:30 in St. Boniface church.
